Mr. Juan Sánchez-Casas Padilla is a geologist, specialized in Environmental Impact Studies and a number of related areas.
Juan features a Degree in Geology issued in 1993 by the Complutense University of Madrid, specializing in Stratigraphy and Sedimentary Environments.
He first carried out his professional activities in the Spanish company SERGEYO, S.A. since 1994, where he acted as Technical Director of the Geology and Geotechnical Department from 2008 to 2015. He is currently a founding partner of the company BIOTOPO CONSULTORES, S.L. devoted to geological engineering and environmental impact studies.
Throughout his professional life he has directed and drafted different geotechnical and environmental studies and coordinated geotechnical field research campaigns for different clients, among which are the Ministry of >Transportation, Mobility and Urban Agenda and ADIF, The entity managing all Railway Infrastructures. He is currently carrying out studies for different organizations and companies, both public and private, such as the Environmental Council of the Madrid Region, TRAGSA, FUNESPAÑA, Municipalities of Madrid, Pinto, Leganés, Arroyomolinos, Casarrubuelos, San Fernando de Henares, Coslada, Torrejón de Ardoz, etc. and different engineering and construction companies.
His curriculum includes extensive training in environment, applied geology, soil contamination, ground hydrogeology, geothermal energy, R+D+I management in engineering, and others.
