Quality and Scope of Work
Rodríguez Molnar & Asociados has become a well known corporate and environmental law firm in Spain, with a sound reputation due to its high level of specialization and quality of work. We are basically active in four main fields: (1) foreign investments, (2) international and corporate work in general; (3) Environmental Law; and (4) Intellectual and Industrial Property Law.
Understanding clients’ activities
Through the years we have become specialized in specific and material business areas. The activities of our main clients have allowed us to acquire material expertise in and deep knowledge of key areas such as telecommunications, hazardous waste treatment and disposal, energy and natural resources, packaging, electronic and software development, the automobile and pharmaceutical industries among others. Due to our specialization in Environmental Law, our corporate advice runs always in parallel with a full respect of the environmental obligations of our corporate clients.
Our Latin-American background gives us excellent opportunities to act as a link between investors in Spain and many Latin American countries.
International Focus
Our activities are mostly geared to meet the needs of foreign companies doing business in Spain. With regard to foreign investments the firm handles mergers and acquisitions, negotiations of joint venture agreements and the creation and establishment of branches, affiliates or subsidiaries of foreign companies. We also deal with all aspects of real estate transactions. As a consequence of these activities, we have developed a comprehensive corporate law practice.
In connection with international transactions, we deal with international sales contracts, distribution and agency agreements and industrial as well as commercial franchising and license agreements.
In recent years we have reactivated our IP practice with the support of expert colleagues.
As a medium size firm, we have traditionally been concerned about the commitments that the practice of law will entail in the future. Accordingly, we make continuing efforts to establish links with other international law firms in order to rendering to international clients expert, timely and comprehensive advice and support in their cross border operations.
Activities
The members of Rodríguez Molnar & Asociados are active in different professional organizations at international level. Among others, it is worth mentioning the participation of members of the firm in the activities of the "Legal Practice Division" (formerly, the Section on Business Law) of the "International Bar Association", a professional organization with seat at London. In particular, the activities carried out in the section on “Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Law”.
From an institutional viewpoint, the firm is a member of the "International Attorneys Club", a non exclusive organisation with member firms in most countries of Europe, Canada and the United States of América.
As a result of our Environmental Practice, RM&As is the Spanish Member of the US "Environmental Law Association", a professional organization with member firms in most of the States of the United States of América; and is also a member of the "International Council of Environmental Law" with seat at Bonn, Germany.
As of January 2018, the firm has reached a cooperation agreement with the Tax, Book Keeping and Labor Consulting firm “HQC Consulting”, thus improving our ability to advise and assist clients in said areas; mostly, in support of our company formation activities.
In recent times, the firm has resumed its Intellectual and Industrial Property Practice, in cooperation with one of the Spanish leading Patents and Trademarks Firms.
The firm maintains close links with the main international law firms working in the corporate and environmental fields and devotes a significant part of its practice to these specific areas of law.

A significant part of the activities of Rodríguez Molnar & Asociados is devoted to serving the interests of foreign clients, which are mostly European or US based.
Through the years, the activities of the firm have allowed its member to gain material expertise in a number of key areas, where top notch leading companies have relied on Rodríguez Molnar & Asociados to assist them in environmental matters, which we always handle in coordination with our corporate advice. The environmental practice of the firm already accounts for a significant share of the firm’s total practice.
Association
Rodríguez Molnar & Asociados has brought its long lasting professional relationship with Ms. Rosa Neli González, one of the partners of the Tax, Accounting and Labor advisory firm HQC Consulting, into a formal cooperation agreement that allows our firm to carry on said activities almost as “in house”, thus adding value to our practice for the benefit of our clients; namely, in the company formation area, where our firm concentrates in the advice to technological “start ups”.
HQC Consulting features more long experience in corporate counselling, offering its clients specialized quality services and assuring them full compliance with their Fiscal, Accounting, Labor, and Data Protection obligations.
Through the introduction of modern interconnection procedures, the offices are presently highly automated, allowing the firm to interconnect with clients as well as official bodies such as the RED System, Social Security Treasury, Tax Office and others.
Our existing arrangements allow us to develop even more the synergies that have traditionally existed between our two organizations.
Barcelona
RODRÍGUEZ MOLNAR & ASOCIADOS are pleased to announce that effective May 1, 2017 the firm has reached an agreement to develop a joint practice with the Barcelona Law Office of Mr. Guillem Domingo Pérez, currently practicing as “Harboury Legal Services”.
Mr. Domingo is a lawyer with many years of expertise at national and international level, gearing a medium size practice strongly focused in the areas of corporate and tax advice to companies and individuals; specially, in the M&A area. Mr. Domingo is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association and the Spanish Association of Tax Advisors and has been exposed to different cultural and legal environments. His practice, like ours, is based on a thorough understanding of the client’s products and corporate circumstances.
Both firms share a common geographical client base, mainly centered on European and North American clients, while also having excellent contacts in Latin America; all of which is a guarantee of a future mutually rewarding practice.
The Barcelona office will provide us strong support in the Catalonian legal environment, while we will expand the Catalonian corporate practice with our traditional expertise in the Environmental and IP areas.
The Barcelona office is located at Aribau street, in one of the busiest business areas of Barcelona, also hosting excellent restaurants and top notch shops. We are confident about the future of this new Association.
