Exploring New Markets

The sources of economic power are moving east at an accelerated rhythm.

Our firm has identified this trend time ago and has since been working in developing new contacts and relationships in areas of the world that had so far been alien to our practice, such as those regions encompassing what is known by the acronym of IMEA.

In pursuing such efforts, our name Partner Mr. Héctor Rodríguez Molnar and our IP Counsel Mr. Juan Botella Reyna have returned from a trip to Dubai, where they were invited to discuss Spanish foreign investment and other business opportunities at the Annual Directors’ Meeting of a Dubai based consulting firm with deep roots in IMEA countries.

Our partners explained to attendants from more than 20 countries the friendly foreign investment environment offered by the country at national and regional levels. In particular, emphasis was placed on the “hot off the press” legal regime applicable to new entrepreneurs (start ups) and the key practical aspects of starting a business in the country. Of not less importance was the chapter referred to foreign investments in real estate, (commercial, industrial and private as well) that are now flourishing as a result of the explosion of the so called “real estate bubble”. Prime private and business properties are available at affordable costs.

We hope to continue with the positive development of relationships in the IMEA region and have further positive news in the near future.
